Our Story

Eclipse Tutoring, LLC was formally created in early 2014 by Angeline Hood and her husband, Richard Hood. Having tutored privately, and additionally for two tutoring companies, Angeline utilized her collective experience to develop a vision for business - providing local, accessible, and effective tutoring at an affordable price.  

As we continue moving forward well into our ninth year of formal operation, Eclipse Tutoring has achieved a high level of success and continues to receive positive feedback within the Tri-Cities community. In 2015 we expanded our services to Spokane, assisting students in that metropolitan area to help attain their goals using local resources in conjunction with our local Eclipse tutors. In the summer of 2019 we did the same for students within the greater Portland metropolitan area (including Vancouver, WA). We strive for excellence and equity as a business, and you, our valued clients are the ultimate ballast for measure.

Donations Program

Do you have a charity you'd like to support? Tutoring is about giving back to the community and helping to prepare the next generation for success. Eclipse Tutoring continues this sentiment by matching contributions you set aside for charity up to 10% of tutoring service payments. Charities must provide a direct and beneficial service to a community, and be registered as a 501c3 organization. Donations will generally be made on a quarterly basis, and Eclipse will provide certification of transactions for the matching contributor. Donations to charity must be designated at the time of payment and do not apply retroactively.
