Angeline Hood - Owner and Tutor
Originally from San Diego, Angeline lived in the Tri-Cities for over nine years before relocating to Vancouver in summer 2019. In California, she worked with several nonprofits, assisting individuals with job training. Between 2010 and 2014 Angeline worked for two tutoring companies, as well as tutoring privately before creating Eclipse Tutoring.
Angeline completed her Bachelor degree at Heritage University in mathematics, with a secondary teaching certification in 2015. She attained an upper percentile score of 284 out of 300 on the required WEST-E exam, showcasing her mastery of mathematics. Angeline taught high school math at Kamiakin High School within the Kennewick School District for four years. In 2019 she completed her Master of Science in mathematics at Montana State University with an emphasis in math education. She currently teaches high-school math within the Portland School District. Angeline has experience with various ages and backgrounds, including persons with disabilities. She has a passion for languages (with knowledge in Spanish, French, and German,) a love for mathematics, and is an avid reader. In her leisure Angeline enjoys writing and doing puzzles.

Pam Bisconer - Regional Tutor Liaison and Tutor
Pam is originally from North Dakota but has lived in Washington State for many years. She received her Bachelor degree in business and communications from the University of Washington, and is an avid Huskies football fan. Pam studied human resource management at Seattle Pacific University and graduated with a Master degree in HR. Pam was in honors math and English in high school. She is in the midst of her eighth year of tutoring and loves helping students learn. She also mentors middle school age children through United Way. In her spare time, Pam enjoys hiking, working out, dancing, water skiing, and tennis.
Siera Wollney - Tutor
Siera was born and raised in the Portland area. She received her bachelor degree at University of Oregon in general social science while minoring in environmental studies. Her passion for teaching was discovered after volunteering in a kindergarten classroom, which led her to pursue her master of arts in teaching with a particular focus in elementary education at Pacific University. Siera has spent time in many diverse elementary classrooms over the past few years teaching fourth through sixth grade, where she has worked hard to foster engaging and exciting learning environments. She loves working with all elementary aged students and specifically enjoys supporting their growth and discovery in the subjects that individually resonate.
When she's not tutoring or working with her current fourth grade students, she loves spending time at concerts, paddle boarding, and hiking through national parks. Siera also has many pets (two dogs, two cats, a turtle and a fish) that keep her busy.
Qing (Ching) Wu - Tutor
Qing Wu is a skilled professional with a diverse background in accounting, education, and logistics, currently residing in Portland, OR. She holds a master of science in accounting from Texas Tech University, where she graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Her undergraduate degree is a bachelor of business administration in management information systems from Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
Qing has extensive experience working in both China and the United States. Currently, she works for Aquila Hash Inc. in Beaverton, OR, where she supervises logistics and warehouse operations for ByteDance, managing both English and Mandarin-speaking teams.
Possessing a strong passion for education, Qing has taught Chinese language and accounting courses at multiple educational institutions, including Ningxia Vocational Technical College of Industry and Commerce in China, and Oregon Hope Chinese Saturday School in Portland. She has also worked as a part-time instructor in accounting and business courses at various universities.
Deeply engaged in her community, Qing volunteers at Bonny Slope Elementary School and supports elderly residents at Rock Creek Retirement. She has also been actively involved in humanitarian work, organizing aid for earthquake victims in China.
In her personal life, Qing is a devoted mother and enjoys spending time with her two children, as well as with her elderly family members. She is a certified yoga instructor and enjoys fitness activities in her free time. Qing is also passionate about literature and has co-authored several non-fiction literary books. She enjoys exploring cultural differences through her reading and writing.
Sonya Slyapich - Tutor
Sonya was born and raised in Oregon and is currently working on finishing her undergraduate degree with a double major in biology and Spanish. Outside of classes, Sonya is actively involved with extracurricular activities at her university. She is on the board of the Mental Health Club and the Fashion Club, in addition to volunteering on the crisis line. Sonya is a believer in volunteering and seeks to coordinate with her peers to achieve common goals. Tutoring is also a passion because Sonya sees it as fundamental for community health, and necessary for tending the succeeding generation of competent and considerate citizens to be. Eventually Sonya hopes to matriculate into medical school after taking a gap year full of clinical work, with the eventual aspiration of becoming an OBGYN.
Faith Miller - Tutor
Faith is from the Portland area. She is currently studying at the University of Portland to get her BS in Civil Engineering. Faith enjoys math and has knowledge in all levels of high school math, she also has knowledge in some AP classes, mainly history and some science. She enjoys tutoring and helping other kids learn by explaining concepts in different ways to make them more easily understood. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and with her family.
Kathy Tran - Tutor
Though originally from Seattle, Kathy grew up primarily in the heart of Vancouver. She recently received her bachelor of science in biology from the University of Washington while also minoring in Spanish. As an undergraduate, Kathy worked as an optometric technician and hopes to enter optometry school next year. She enjoys helping others develop a deeper understanding of various subjects, particularly math and biology, and is interested in understanding each student’s unique learning style. Her fulfillment as a conscientious tutor is tied to the inroads her students make. In her spare time, Kathy can usually be found reading, playing tennis, or baking.
Grayson Teals - Tutor
Grayson grew up in eastern Washington before venturing out to California to earn a Bachelor’s degree in environmental earth sciences at the University of California Berkeley in 2022. While an undergraduate student he led two chemistry courses as a classroom instructor. Grayson values connecting education with each student directly and ensuring that learning is accessible for students of all educational backgrounds.
Grayson is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in teaching (secondary science education) as he continues to pursue his love of teaching in larger classroom settings. Along with teaching, Grayson enjoys hiking outdoors, writing various audio dramas and playing pickleball with his friends and family.
Francoise Brun-Cottan - Tutor
Everything Francoise learned about successful studying was instilled long ago by an amazing mentor. She learned how to understand assignments, organize study materials, extract pertinent details from content materials, construct well-reasoned essays and reports, substantiate conclusions, argue convincingly, and most importantly, to have fun, and get excited about exploring unknown territories. These skills apply not only to particular subject matter but span across multiple learning opportunities. And they have served Francoise well through college, graduate work and through multiple occupations including: university teaching assistant, social worker, newsletter editor, non-profit community facilitator, award winning motion picture story developer, and foundational researcher for government agencies as well as Fortune 500 companies.
Francoise seeks to teach students struggling with their class assignments to help develop better study skills. Her experience working with people of different ages, occupations, cultures and education backgrounds has shown her the importance of making people feel comfortable, empowered and open to successfully overcoming personal roadblocks to learning and doing. Francoise’s expertise as a tutor involves not simply mastering facts but rather igniting excitement within the learning experience itself. Though the immediate focus may be to master current assignments, her goal is to foster a lifelong joy of learning.
Erik Enslow - Tutor
Erik was born in Portland, and is attending the University of Portland majoring in civil engineering with a Spanish minor. Erik loves to teach and he is constantly improving upon his approach to bring new insights to his tutoring clients. Erik’s favorite subject is math and tries his best to help others enjoy it as well. He has teaching experience with students of all ages in various math classes. His goal is to help students be the best they can be and to succeed academically. In his free time, Erik enjoys learning new languages and spending time outdoors.
Sage Ford - Tutor
Sage has lived in the Vancouver area for eleven years. She has spent the last three years working towards her bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in computer science from Washington State University, Vancouver. Upon graduation, she hopes to continue academically by seeking a master's degree in robotics engineering. She has a strong passion for engineering and loves to share her interest in STEM with others. This is the source of her tutoring inspiration. She enjoys inspiring students to discover their own motivation to help clarify a path to success. In her free time, she enjoys product design, building computers, gaming, as well as sewing with a sprinkle of afternoon hikes for perspective – weather allowing.
