Angeline Hood - Owner and Tutor
Originally from San Diego, Angeline lived in the Tri-Cities for over nine years before relocating to Vancouver in summer 2019. In California, she worked with several nonprofits, assisting individuals with job training. Between 2010 and 2014 Angeline worked for two tutoring companies, as well as tutoring privately before creating Eclipse Tutoring.
Angeline completed her Bachelor degree at Heritage University in mathematics, with a secondary teaching certification in 2015. She attained an upper percentile score of 284 out of 300 on the required WEST-E exam, showcasing her mastery of mathematics. Angeline taught high school math at Kamiakin High School within the Kennewick School District for four years. In 2019 she completed her Master of Science in mathematics at Montana State University with an emphasis in math education. She currently teaches high-school math within the Portland School District. Angeline has experience with various ages and backgrounds, including persons with disabilities. She has a passion for languages (with knowledge in Spanish, French, and German,) a love for mathematics, and is an avid reader. In her leisure Angeline enjoys writing and doing puzzles.

Pam Bisconer - Regional Tutor Liaison and Tutor
Pam is originally from North Dakota but has lived in Washington State for many years. She received her Bachelor degree in business and communications from the University of Washington, and is an avid Huskies football fan. Pam studied human resource management at Seattle Pacific University and graduated with a Master degree in HR. Pam was in honors math and English in high school. She is in the midst of her eighth year of tutoring and loves helping students learn. She also mentors middle school age children through United Way. In her spare time, Pam enjoys hiking, working out, dancing, water skiing, and tennis.
Jenna Barger - Tutor
Jenna was born and raised in the Tri-Cities. She has a deep passion for learning and enjoys delving into the applications of science and mathematics. She is a recent high school and Running Start graduate, and is a current transfer student at Washington State University Tri-Cities studying electrical engineering. Jenna completed an associate degree in science from Columbia Basin College, and intends on graduating with her bachelors in electrical engineering from WSU-TC in 2025. She has a strong love for physics, engineering, and mathematics, and she enjoys designing her own experimental projects around theoretical physics.
Jenna has focused primarily on her studies, but has been tutoring her peers during her time at CBC as well as previously in high school. She identifies how to best reach students with the fundamentals of their subject and then builds upon this solid foundation once established. Additionally, she has volunteered at the Hanford REACH Museum in the education department, spending her summer weekends helping put on educational programs. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, and playing the Bassoon.
Alex Bell - Tutor
Originally born in the Tri-Cities, Alex grew up in the Midwest state of Illinois, not too far from the windy city of Chicago. He has spent the previous five years as a substitute teacher for the Kennewick School District, including serving as a reading specialist for two schools. During this time period he also worked as a facilitator at the 21st Century after-school program, and as a tutor, in addition to his role as an emotional support group leader for the Family Learning Center in Kennewick.
He completed his Bachelor's degree in political science in 2017, with minors in both psychology and educational policy. He values building strong communication skills in the youth, and harboring a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment for all involved. Alex currently works as a reading specialist at Eastgate Elementary. In his spare time, he enjoys listening to electronic music, hiking, and coaching little league baseball.
Gayle Wilde - Tutor
Gayle grew up on the Olympic Peninsula and later attended high school in Wapato. She graduated from Western Washington University with a BA degree in sociology, and received her Master’s in behavioral science from City University. Gayle’s career has involved working in counseling and case management for several different agencies.
Gayle has resided in the Tri Cities for the last seven years after relocating to live near her daughter. She enjoys tutoring because she likes to see students fulfill their educational potential and achieve their goals. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her granddaughter and her grand-dogs, as well as walking on the river and other trails around the area. Reading and writing are also high on her list of things to do.
Bella Castorena - Tutor
Bella was born in Hawaii. As a military child growing up Bella had the unique experience of having lived in many different places. She was able to travel and participate with each local culture, meeting people all over the world. Bella and her family settled in Pasco, Washington where she attended middle school and high school. She graduated from Pasco High in 2022 and was enrolled in Running Start at CBC during her last two years of high school.
She is now attending WSU Tri-Cities and is planning to graduate in the fall of 2024. She is working toward her bachelor degree and is majoring in psychology while minoring in human development. Bella loves to help others by sharing her knowledge. She uses her interactions and the feedback she receives to better inform her tutoring strategies. In her free time, she likes to write music, play piano and guitar, spend time with friends, and go on walks along the river.
Sun-Yu Au - Tutor
Sun-Yu has called the Tri-Cities his home all his life. After graduating high school early at the age of sixteen, he then majored in history and psychology at WSU Tri-Cities. He was a junior on track for summa cum laude, but has since taken some time away from academics to help his father grow his construction business. He previously tutored math for the WSU Gear-Up Program at Pasco High School. This experience was memorable for Sun-Yu and provided a foundation for his desire to help students as well as the continued motivation to find new opportunities to do so.
Sun-Yu’s favorite subjects growing up were math, history/geography, and astronomy. His aim is to prepare every student for college and a viable career, and he values the journey as much as the destination.
After hours, he is a part-time athlete, training in five sports. In 2024, he placed 6th at the USA Stairclimbing Championships. He is Director of the Tri-Cities Marathon every October. He has also been a writer for seven years, and is often found on his 80’s typewriter in the small hours of the morning.
